The MBT Conference 2026 was held from 1th–3rd June 2026 at the Holiday Inn in Skopje, North Macedonia.
MBT Conference 2026 was successfully held in Skopje from 1 to 3 June 2026 organized by the National Broadcasting Public Enterprise end supported by MBT association.As a regional platform for cooperation among BNO’s, broadcasting equipement manafacturers, the MBT Association once again brought together representatives of leading companies, institutions, experts, and partners from across the region and beyond. The conference provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange, discussion of technological trends, and addressing key challenges in broadcasting and electronic communications.
The conference covered a range of important topics, including next-generation transmission networks, DAB+, the development and implementation of 5G Broadcast, transmission network and critical infrastructure security, radio-frequency spectrum management in line with European policies, as well as energy efficiency and sustainability in broadcasting systems.The Director of the National Broadcasting Public Enterprise Jusuf Sopi and president of MBT association Mihael Jančić, extends sincere gratitude to all participants, speakers, partners, sponsors, and guests who contributed to the successful organization of MBT Conference 2026. At the conclusion of the MBT 2026 conference, the MBT Association introduced a new initiative, the MBT Association Annual Excellence Award.
This award recognizes outstanding individuals among MBT full members who have made significant contributions to the development of broadcasting and transmission telecommunications systems.
The recipient of the MBT Association Annual Excellence Award for 2026 is Mr. Tigran Vržina from OIV, Croatia.

All MBT Conferences
MBT Conference is an annual regional gathering of broadcasting organizations and manufacturers of broadcasting equipment and is also an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts and exchange views and experiences.
The specificity and special charm of MBT conferences are social events organized during the conference that usually lasts two to three days. This includes visits to transmitting locations and the sights, museums, and tourist attractions of individual countries.
Through these informal gatherings of broadcasting professionals, information and business experiences are exchanged, long-term friendships are formed, all of which can be exceptionally useful in the work and development of each individual.
Annual international MBT Conferences
The establishment of the MBT Association is a step further, as its main objective is to provide full support to the host in the organization of each new conference. Also, the organizers will be defined at regular sessions of the Assembly at least two years in advance.
Activities on the realization of objectives include creating a database of participants and sponsors of the conference in accordance with the law, which will be available to the organizer, and a manual with useful information about the organization, the necessary preliminary work, budget, and the like.
